About us
Located in the quiet town of Avoca, at the foot of the Pyrenees Ranges, the Avoca Swimming Pool was opened in 1973 through the funding efforts of the dedicated Avoca community, in conjunction with the Pyrenees Shire Council. The Avoca Friends of the Pool Inc. is a not-for-profit organisation founded in January 2014, as a means to support and promote the Avoca Swimming Pool. The Committee will act as an Advisory Group for both the Pyrenees Shire Council and the Avoca Swimming Pool's service provider. Through fundraising and community involvement, Avoca Friends of the Pool Inc raises money for grounds maintenance, upgrades, and community events.
